  • Notes: Miranda Mixon, who has been referred to as “Mobile’s Teen sensation” by al.com, is a 16 year old singer/songwriter from Mobile, Al. She is quickly gaining local attention with her blend of Country/Pop and her own unique sound. Miranda first picked up a guitar at age 13 and since then has been developing her skills in playing and songwriting. She has been building a fan base while performing in venues in and around Mobile, including The Shed, LODA Artwalk, and the 2011 Bayfest Music Festival. Miranda received the 2010 Bayfest Music scholarship, and is the current winner of Murphy Idol and the 2011 Geneva Festival on The Rivers Talent Contest winner. Miranda has appeared several times on the Dan and Shelby show on 95KSJ, WABB, WPMI Channel 15, and Life in the Fastlane on WALA Fox 10. She has shared the stage with National Recording artist Dennis “Finger Roll” Nelson and opened for Sammy Kershaw at the 2011 Greater Gulf State Fair. Miranda has also volunteered her talents to play at St. Jude’s events, American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Camp SMILE, and several private fundraising benefits.
